How Are Your Going to Get From One Place to Another of Your Wedding Day

As your wedding day gets closer, you are going to need to think about how you, your significant other, and your wedding party are going to get from one place to another.  There is a lot of things to think about when it comes to wedding day transportation. Wedding transportation isn’t necessary, however, if you do want to get transportation for your wedding it is totally up to you! Just like everything thing else that is a part of your wedding day.

who is going to need transportation

When it comes to transportation, who is going to need to get from Point A to Point B. A lot of the time, your wedding party is going to need to get from where they are getting ready, to the ceremony location, and reception location, if it isn’t the same as the ceremony location. Also, your parents might also like to be involved in the transportation fun so make sure you get something to ride in that will have enough room for all of them too. When you start looking for a transportation company, you only need to be looking 3-6 months in advance. When you do find transportation that will work for your wedding party, book them right away! Especially if it is more than 6 months in advance, because a lot of transportation companies may book up quickly depending on the time of year you are getting married.

different types of transportation

When you are looking into transportation, there are all different forms of transportation for you to choose from. Some of these options include limousines, antique cars, vintage trucks, horse and carriages, taxis, party busses, pedicabs, buses, etc. The type of transportation depends on how many people are going to be traveling with you. And the length of time you are going to be traveling and needing the form of transportation for.

transportation pricing

The price you are going to pay for transportation on the day of your wedding is going to really depend. It is going to depend on the date and time of your wedding, and the time of year you are going to be getting married. It is also going to be depending on what other events are going to be happening and needing transportation when you are getting married. The average wedding transportation ranges from $100-500 an hour to $800. Shop around to get the best price that fits our budget. Do this “shopping” by calling multiple car rental companies and comparing all the quotes and packages to determine which will work best for you.

remember to think about traffic

Once you have decided on a transportation company, think about the traffic that may occur when you are getting married. When if the transportation company going to need to get to you to bring you to the reception and when they are going to be able to leave for the night. When you or your wedding planner are putting together your wedding day timeline, remember to estimate an ideal pickup time for the ride to the ceremony plan to arrive 15 minutes early, then work backward: ceremony time, minus 15 minutes minus drive time, minus 10-20 mins for traffic, unexpected delays, and getting excited people into multiple cars. All of this is important information to consider for your wedding day.
