“What’s Galentine’s Day? Only the best day of the year!!”  For those of you who aren’t familiar with this national holiday, it was coined by Leslie Knope on the show Parks and Recreation and has quickly turned into a pop culture phenomenon celebrated on Feb. 13 where “ladies celebrate ladies”!

Let's face it: Regardless of your relationship status, your tribe is always there for you. Through the tears, fears, adventures, and belly laughs, the women in our lives are our real soulmates. Below are a few ways to celebrate the women in your life.

have brunch….for dinner!

Nothing says Galentine’s Day more than waffles, so why not invite your besties over, pour some bubbly, and make some waffles for dinner? Amazon has a super cute mini heart waffle maker for only $14.99.  Seeking some inspiration for simple-yet-gorgeous décor, playful activities, and delicious food?  Check out our Pinterest page.

plan a girls night out

If the thought of hosting overwhelms you, there are plenty of Galentine’s Day activities in the Boston area already planned for you!  Once Somerville is hosting their annual Galentine’s Day Celebration that includes pop-up shopping, food, tarot cards, a photobooth and craft beer tastings!  Speaking of craft beer, Night Shift is hosting a Galentine's Day BYOBoard Charcuterie Building with Mary Charcuterie. For just $35 you and your Ladies will receive a beer of your choice, all the supplies you need to build your board and tips and tricks from Mary Charcuterie.  Once the class is over, you can sit back, enjoy your board and watch all three of the Parks + Rec Galentine's Day episodes.

shower your tribe with love

Sometimes distance keeps us from spending time with our girls on Galentine’s Day, but that shouldn’t stop you from showing them some love! One of our favorites is this creative and personalized Galentine’s Day Book.

We need to remember what’s important in life: friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn’t matter, but work is third.”
